Mrs. Pingree’s Class
The 3/4 team is studying rocks and minerals. We have learned about the three categories of minerals: Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic. We have also have done experiments with the rocks they have collected. We have seen many videos on volcanoes, rocks and minerals, caves, and The Rock of Ages Granite Quarries. Our test will be Wednesday, November 30th. A study guide will go home a week before the test.
Computer Projects
This year we are starting off the year doing a photo story project. The theme is what they did this summer. Dave Davidson is helping us with these projects. When they’re finished, they will have created a video of their summer.
Nature
This year Mark Weiner and my student teacher, Martha Gamble are leading the Nature classes. This month the theme is Leaf Litter. The leaves decompose leaving nutrients in the soil. It allows living things to live and grow.
