Science/Social Studies

We are now studying Light and Sound which involves many hands-on activities.  There is a Sound project which was due February 3rd, but there are a few students who will turn them in the week of February 6th.  The test is February 13th.  We will then start the Vermont History unit for the remaining semester.

Computer Lab and Education:
The students will work with Dave Davidson this year around computer education.  In the past we have done programs such as, Photo Story, Scratch, Mapping using Google Earth, etc.     We will continue to work with him on topics such as these.                       Click here to watch our digital book reports

Skype

Our class had the experience of skyping a class from Maine.  They asked us questions about Vermont, and we also asked them about Maine.  This is our second skyping session this year.  The students enjoy learning about different states and their schools.  Hawaii was the most diverse place, but Maine was interesting as well.

Nature

Every month the class has the experience of learning about nature.
