Jill St. George Grades 3-4
Welcome to
Ms. St. George’s Class Web Page
——————————————————————————————-
We decided to create a model for how to write a writing a short response. The class decided to write one on how to write a short response. Here is what the class came up with:
There are a number of steps to writing a short response. The first step is to write a topic sentence. For the next step you need to write 3-5 proof sentences. Your proof sentences should support your topic sentence. The final step is to write a concluding sentence. As you can see there are a number of steps to writing a good short response.
Notes (9/2/10):
- Welcome back! We had a great first day of school. There will be a number of notes coming home today, some will need to be signed and returned to school. We have been working on our classroom rules, getting to know each other, and easing ourselves back into the different subject areas. A note went home the first day about adult volunteers in the building. If you think that at anytime this year you might want to come in and work with the kids, or go on a field trip, please fill out the form on the school website. It will take a week or more to process, so if it is completed at the beginning of the year you won’t have to worry if something comes up that you would like to be a part of later on.
