2009-2010 Kiwi Code of Success Return to Kiwi Home Page
We, the Kiwi students of 2009-2010, need certain elements in our day to be most successful. These include:
- we need to believe in ourselves as equal to others
- we need friendship(s)
- we need time to finish work in class
- we need challenge without being overwhelmed
To that end we will follow these democratically created rules.
I will show Cooperation by being generous with time or materials, cleaning up, being a friend, showing patience with classmates even when we are not at our best.
I will show Assertion by being curious, asking questions, standing up for others and myself. No one should be bullied.
I will show Responsibility by eating a healthy breakfast, being prepared for class, helping others, and trying to have a positive attitude.
I will show Empathy by respecting the needs of others by creating a learning environment and not purposefully annoying others.
I will show Self-Control by being a good sport when things don’t go the way I’d like, avoiding gossip (even listening to it), and using acceptable language, and using my class time wisely.
