The type of volunteer work including the parameters of student contact informs the level of screening requirements. A noteworthy improvement is the requirement for a criminal background check for a level III volunteer. A volunteer who provides extensive, unsupervised direct services to students is required to under go a criminal records check.  Read More

If you have children in the Primary grades and the Middle School, then you may notice a difference in the Parent Conference structure. Westford School has a primary structure and approach to parent conferences that differs from our Middle Level approach based on our teaming structure and number of students per classroom. The ability to partner with the Y to bring quality after school options located at Westford is exciting. If your family is interested in participating, please complete the attached 2013-14 Y Afterschool Registration form and return to Greater Burlington YMCA- Afterschool Registration, 266 College Street Burlington, VT 05401. In order to establish a program that is appropriately staff and able to begin the first day of school, the YMCA will need a minimum of 10 students enrolled each day.  Read More
