Our Mission
Chittenden Central Supervisory Union, a professional learning community, utilizes the collective insight and expertise of Information Technology and Educational Technology to better serve the students, staff and administrators of our districts. Through collaborative leadership and interdependence, these divisions of technology come together to maximize available resources to continuously improve productivity, teaching and learning throughout the CCSU.
Administrative Systems:
Identify, implement, and manage systems integral to the mission critical functions of student management, Special Education, business and human resources, food services, electronic communication, and general support functions. Strategize standards and practices aimed at lowering the total cost of ownership throughout CCSU. Converge technologies where and when appropriate to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Network Services:
Design, construct, and administer an integrated network capable of handling the variety and intensity of needs, applications, and servers required by the CCSU. Ensures appropriate and reliable server-based disaster recovery is performed to safe-guard the intellectual assets of the entire CCSU. Manages the CCSU’s connectivity and bandwidth to other networks, including the world wide web, and ensures the appropriate filtering, spam/virus protection, and protocols are in place to make these connections safe throughout the CCSU.
Educational Technology Plan:
User Support:
Provides general technical assistance and troubleshooting to end users via its Helpdesk and technicians. Performs all computer hardware, phone support and software installations to ensure network compatibility and licensing compliance.
