For Kindergarten Students Entering Essex Junction Schools:

Please note – all children must be five years old before September 1, 2012 to enroll in Kindergarten, per CCSU Policy JEB: Entrance Age.

Registration will be held by appointment during the afternoons of Wednesday, June 6 at Summit Street School and Thursday, June 7 at Hiawatha Elementary School.  To schedule an appointment, please contact Mindy Deibler via email (mdeibler@ccsuvt.org) or phone (878-6419).

Please obtain and complete a Kindergarten Registration Packet (which you will bring to the appointment in June) by downloading it here.

What you need to complete registration:

• Completed Kindergarten Registration Packet
• Immunization records
• Most recent physical
• Child’s birth certificate
• At least three forms of identification (for residency verification purposes)

Your child will be assigned to a school and teacher through our placement process. We strive to maintain a balance in numbers in our schools.  The overarching goal is to provide the best learning environment for children by establishing classrooms of complementary learners.  You will be notified of where your child is placed by the school.

For Kindergarten Students Entering the Westford School District

Starting the Process

Please note – all children must be five years old before September 1 to enroll in Kindergarten, per  CCSU Policy JEB: Entrance Age.

To obtain the Kindergarten Registration Packet, contact Westford School (802.878.5932) or click here to download a copy.  Submit the completed packet to Westford School.  In addition, please submit the necessary paperwork to the school at the time of registration.  A list of what you will need is found below.

What you need to submit to the school

• Completed Kindergarten Registration Packet
• Immunization records
• Most recent physical
• Child’s birth certificate
• At least three forms of identification (for residency verification purposes)

After Submitting the Forms

You will be contacted by the school either via phone or letter notifying you of your child’s placement.  New students will be offered an opportunity to have an orientation of the classroom and school environment.

If you are Transferring from Another School District (in the middle of the current school year)

Please obtain or download a copy of the Kindergarten Registration Packet.  Submit your completed packet to Westford School or, if registering for an Essex Junction School, to the CCSU Central Office (51 Park Street, Essex Junction, VT).  Please also submit the following:

• Immunization records
• Most recent physical
• Child’s birth certificate
• At least three forms of identification (for residency verification purposes)
