Use of School Facilities

CCSU believes that school facilities can and should serve as centers for educational, recreational, cultural, and other community events and gatherings provided there is a general understanding throughout communities that:
  • School and school-sponsored activities will always be given priority for use of school buildings and grounds; and
  • School districts cannot subsidize the use of its facilities for events and activities not directly related to its primary educational mission.
