IMPORTANCE NOTICE TO TEACHERS
State forms have been sent to all teachers whose licenses are up for renewal in June, 2010. If you are one of those teachers and did not receive your forms, you should contact the Licensing Office at the Vermont Department of Education. Blue Books and new IPDPs need to be approved by this board before we can sign off on the state forms. Please get all necessary materials to us in a timely manner. All information needs to be received by the LSB by April 1st to guarantee proper time for completion of all documentation.
Our next LSB meeting of the 2009-2010 school year will be held on Friday, December 11 at Essex High School. Please forward all coursework transcripts, etc. to the address above at least one week before that date.

Philosophy
The Local Standards Board of the Chittenden Central Supervisory Union believes that high quality professional development is necessary throughout the career of licensed educators. Professional development will provide opportunities for school employees to gain the knowledge and skills that are important to their position, to the improvement of school programs and enhancement of student learning, and to their performance as members of their profession. Licensed educators will play an active role in the planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of their professional development connecting it to “Vermont’s Framework of Standards and Learning Opportunities.”
