Spread the Fever
by Miss Neary’s Third Graders
Foals and fawns, cubs and calves
Chicks and chimpanzees
Babies are bouncing, crawling and pouncing
Born in the springtime breeze
(chorus:)
So, spread the springtime fever
Glad the winter’s gone
Make room for the busy beaver
Singing our springtime song
Trout and tilapia, avoiding the hook
Salmon swimming upstream
Bears are waking, ice is breaking
Kids have baseball dreams
(chorus)
Dandelions, daffs, mud and muck
Peepers chirping a song
Buds are popping, bunnies hopping
Nature’s singing along
(chorus)
