Trimestre 1 Topics C’est l’automne!
All students are reviewing greetings or salutations, vocabulary for classroom objects and how Fleming C.A.R.E.S. applies in French class (dans le cours de français).
Students have also been learning about a popular aspect of French culture (particularly for their age group) called la Bande Dessinée or BD. 4th grade students are discovering a series called Max et Lili, and 5th grade students are studying Tintin. Tintin has been appearing in books around the world in many languages since 1929!
Rather than listing links to current topics, I am working on developing a You-tube site that would provide students with access to all the various media that they have experienced as part of the exploratory World Language program. Stay-tuned! I hope to have this completed by the end of the calendar year.
