Essex High School Audio Visual Department is located within the Library:

Hours on EHS student days: 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Student Equipment Checkout Procedure:

Students can checkout equipment during the school day for in school use – all equipment must be returned by 2:20 p.m. on the same day.

If a student would like to bring the equipment home, a permission form is required. Once the permission slip is on file in the AV office, the student may checkout equipment at the end of the school day and it must be returned prior to the start of the next school day.

No equipment will be checked out over extended (a week or more) breaks.

• Panasonic Digital Point & Shoot Camera
• Sony Digital Video Camera – uses mini DV tape
• Flip Camera – for a quick video
• Tripods / Monopods
• Digital Voice Recorders
• Laptop / Netbook Computers
• GoPro Camera kit

Equipment available for student checkout after training:

• Panasonic GH2 Digital SLR Camera (video/stills)
• Lowell Lighting Kit
• Wireless and Shotgun Boom mics
• Camera Crane
• Glidecam Sled or Complete Glidecam setup (Vest, Arm and sled)
• Shoulder camera mount
• H4n/ H4/ Tascam recorder
• Ipad Teleprompter (must supply your own Ipad)

Equipment available for Teacher Checkout:

• Classroom Set of Mini Computers (28 computers)
• Elmo (document camera) on a cart with a Projector
• Projector cart with Computer, DVD player, Speakers
• Classroom set of headsets or headphones
• Loaner set of Clickers
• TV with DVD / VHS Player on a cart
• Portable Projector Screen
• Boombox / powered Speakers
• Slide Projector
• Record Player
