EHS Language Department - Japanese

JAPANESE I G229 This course emphasizes conversation and cultural information necessary to communicate in this non-Western language. Students master two new alphabets, Hiragana and Katakana. Students are encouraged to take two years of Japanese at the high school. 1 Credit [FL]
JAPANESE II G230 This course continues language development in the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Japanese. There is expanded cultural study and use of language in the classroom. Students master up to 200 new kanji. Prerequisite: An 80 in Japanese I and recommendation of the teacher. 1 Credit [FL]
