A.C.E Staff!
Meet your A.C.E. staff members!

Lars Baris
Lars has dedicated 28 of his 35 years in teaching to his work as a Director and Teacher in the ACE Program. He finds that making a difference in someone's life is a compelling reason to for him to teach. He informs his teaching by reading (especially science fiction), following his interest in refereeing athletics, and learning new and different things.
Annabelle Lowrie
Annabelle has been the Social Worker at ACE for 5 years. In addition to helping students make important networking connections outside the school, Annabelle believes that she provides an opportunity for students to have an objective adult opinion on important matters in their lives. Annabelle is a good listener who can help guide students in solving personal problems. She finds that her interests in reading, cooking, good conversation, and her sense of humor add to her effectiveness at ACE.

Peter Huber
Peter is a Teacher in the ACE Program and has taught here for 20 years. Prior to this he taught at the Essex Junction Educational Center's Special Education Program for 5 years and at the Community School for 2 years. He believes that small schools and individual attention are especially effective in helping young adults to learn. He finds that his eclectic interests, such as kayaking, sailing, photography, cooking, reading, and carpentry, inspire his daily efforts in the classroom.
Alison Ruggles
Alison started teaching at the ACE Program on September, 2006. She has a B.S. from Michigan State University . Currently she is working on her master's degree from St. Michael's College. Previously she worked at ACE as a teaching assistant.
