A.C.E Alternative Center For Education
Who Benefits from A.C.E?
Students apply to the A.C.E. Program for varying reasons. Typically, students choose to try an alternative approach to school because they are discouraged or overwhelmed. The source of these difficulties might be school failure, school absences, personal social or emotional difficulties, family problems, or substance abuse problems. Of course, sometimes matters are compounded by the combination of these kinds of challenges. Students who attend A.C.E. commit themselves to personal improvement and to earning an Essex High School diploma despite the obstacles they face. When they enroll at A.C.E. they agree to participate in the program with Quality, Effort, and Commitment. They also agree to work with a teacher who will guide them in planning an individual program of studies designed to help them achieve their goals.
The A.C.E. Program has been helping students achieve success in school for over 28 years, and we hope to pursue this mission as long as the need to serve students in this way exists in our school district.
