Mrs. Audette

fractal3Professional History

I have been teaching mathematics since January of 1997. My teaching career began at St. Francis Xavier School in Winooski, Vermont teaching 6, 7 and 8th grade mathematics. Shortly I made a change to Shelburne Community School, and taught for 3 years on a 6-8 multi-age, integrated curriculum team as the math teacher. Next, I travelled across the sea, to teach at the Swiss boarding school of Leysin American School. While in Leysin, I taught IB (International Baccalaureate) Mathematics and Computer Programming. After two years, my itch to travel brought me to Warsaw, Poland. I taught IB Mathematics for two years at the Amercian School of Warsaw. Life abroad included incredible travel opportunities in addition to professional growth. I returned to my home, Vermont, in August of 2004 and  have been teaching here at Essex High School ever since. In June 2011 I was hired to begin work on Essex’s STEM Academy while continuing to teach mathematics.
