Vision Statement:

All ninth grade students will experience a successful transition to Essex High School by developing a foundation for academic and interpersonal success. All students, parents, teachers and staff will experience relationships that embrace a sense of community.

Program Description:

Each ninth grader will be assigned to a team of teachers who will teach Global History and Grade 9 English.  Students and their parents should expect a rigorous and relevant curriculum with personalized learning environments which capitalize on students’  interests, readiness and learning styles.  These teams of teachers will monitor and provide timely feedback to parents and students.  This team model promotes a sense of pride and spirit, student involvement opportunities, and celebration of successes.
