However, we are now accepting accepting a $10.00 deposit to reserve a book. You may pay $10.00 now and the rest on May 27th when the books arrive.
ACADEMIC SUPPORT TIME
Academic support time will now be from 7:55 a.m.to 8:05 a.m. each day at Essex High School. This time replaces our current homeroom time frame. This time will assist students who have shown, through first quarter work, that support is warranted based upon first quarter grades. Teachers will be in determined areas in the building. Department offices will have that information. This process will operate in two ways. First, students may seek assistance of their teacher(s) for various reasons. Secondly, teachers, with written notice (Academic Support Notice), shall require students to attend during this ten minute period for academic support. Attendance for students who receive written notice is mandatory. Failure to attend will result in consequences from administration. The intent here is to provide assistance for students who are not making adequate progress in their class(es) to ultimately lead to success in their academic experience at Essex High School. This fits in nicely with our Response to Failure process for all involved.
