Comprehensive Plan for Continuous Improvement (CPCI)

One Plan Planning

“Continuous improvement” is defined in the CCSU Mission and Vision as “a process characterized by inquiry, decision-making, engagement, and assessment within the learning organization that utilizes both internally (local) and externally (state and federal) generated benchmarks and/or quality indicators to monitor progress toward meeting or exceeding shared goals.”

The CCSU Comprehensive Plan for Continuous Improvement is the framework that guides all site-based school action plans in our 7 schools, and is based on the following assumptions:

• The CCSU Comprehensive Plan for Continuous Improvement is the Educational Leadership Team’s tool for “one plan planning.” That is, any and all school-based action planning aligns with the K-12 Needs Assessment in column one of this tool.
• CCSU schools are at differing stages of progress concerning continuous quality school improvement as indicated by their data summaries and achievement goals.
• Action planning and the school improvement process promote continuous growth.
• Supporting schools to build upon identified capacities will enhance that school’s ability to implement quality improvement efforts that lead to improved student performance.
