Comprehensive Plan for Continuous Improvement (CPCI)
One Plan Planning
“Continuous improvement” is defined in the CCSU Mission and Vision (pdf) as “a process characterized by inquiry, decision-making, engagement, and assessment within the learning organization that utilizes both internally (local) and externally (state and federal) generated benchmarks and/or quality indicators to monitor progress toward meeting or exceeding shared goals.”
The CCSU Comprehensive Plan for Continuous Improvement is the framework that guides all site-based school action plans in our 7 schools, and is based on the following assumptions:
- The CCSU Comprehensive Plan for Continuous Improvement is considered a tool for “one plan planning.” That is, any and all action planning must align with this tool.
- CCSU schools are at differing stages or levels of progress concerning continuous quality school improvement as indicated by their data summaries.
- Action planning and the school improvement process promote continuous growth.
- Supporting schools to build upon identified capacities will enhance that school’s ability to implement quality improvement efforts that lead to improved student performance.
