Mr. Murdough began working for the school district in May 1971. His career with our district started with the lining of athletic fields and performing general athletic maintenance jobs. With the building of the Essex Skating Facility in 1972 Bruce then moved to working in the new facility doing general maintenance. He was promoted to assistant manger of the rink in October 1973, where he held this position for 4 years. Bruce became the manager in November 1977, holding this position for 20 years. He became Director of Property Services in July 1997. Mr. Murdough has a business degree from Champlain College and holds several industry certifications—he is a certified asbestos inspector/management planner, building operator Level II, a certified fork lift operator, and is a member of Refrigeration Service Engineer's Society of America. Mr. Murdough grew up in Essex Junction and graduated from Essex High School. He resides here with his wife Nancie, where they raised their three sons. Message From Our Director of Property Services

Message From Our Director of Property Services

The facilities management team prides themselves in maintaining a safe, clean, warm, and supportive learning environment for all of our students, faculty, and staff. Our maintenance and custodial technicians are our most valuable asset in property services. Our team includes the custodial staff and maintenance crews at both the U46 and all of the EJSD schools. Each individual is a team member who contributes to the overall success of our department as a whole. All of the team members pride themselves in responding to all facility concerns in a timely and professional manner. We set high service standards and strive to have the best and safest facilities available to our students. Please feel free to contact me with any maintenance/custodial needs or concerns.
