ESSEX COMMUNITY EDUCATION CENTER AND RETN

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Essex High School and the Center for Technology Essex have recently formed a partnership with the Regional Educational Television Network (RETN). Beginning in the spring 2008 semester, seven students will serve as interns at RETN in various capacities. Each student will have a mentor at RETN who will provide individualized guidance in developing internship goals and a plan. Students will be working in television and video production, music, and graphic applications as well as specific digital video technologies. The student-interns will receive high school credit for their off-site experiences, which will be supervised by Fine Arts teacher Kym Breckenridge. The amount of credit earned will be based on the number of hours students devote to their intenship. Students interested in a future internship at RETN may pick up the application packet in the EHS Guidance Office.

For more information contact: Jane Goodman, Michelle Rath, or Kym Breckenridge.
