Ms. Giroux

Cori Giroux-Williams School Counselor

Hello! My name is Cori Giroux-Williams and I am excited to share with you a little bit about myself. Before joining the Albert D. Lawton community, I worked in the South Burlington School District. While there, my focus was in the alternative program for students with behavioral and emotional challenges. I love helping students thrive and overcome adversity by gaining new skills and developing positive goals for their futures.

I focus my counseling skills on building trust through relationships while attending to each student’s academic, emotional, and social development. I work with our students to meet the challenges of adolescence while developing their own sense of self-identity and self-worth. Middle school can be a time of great change and growth, and it is important to ensure safety and support through this development.

Some of my personal interests include being outdoors, hiking with my dogs, and listening to music. I am also a soccer and basketball coach and enjoy watching a player’s growth from learning basic skills to the mastery of a technique. Whether in the guidance office, the court, or the field, I look forward to connecting with parents, family, and friends of the ADL community.

Please feel free to contact me if I can be a resource to your family or child.
