Greetings to Parents and Students:

Year 31 for me and I still get opening day jitters!  Welcome to 2011-2012!  In Social Studies we study nations of the world.  We will be starting the year with a study of nations of the Caribbean.  If you have ever traveled (or honeymooned) in the Caribbean now is the time for sharing.

Your student will be handed a textbook entitled ”Western Hemisphere” this week.  They will need to be covered by Tuesday September 7th.  Expect homework from the text almost right away.  I see your student three times a week and average homework assignments at least once a week.

Be sure to check the homework assignments at the schools homework web page, especially if your student ever misses school.
