In June, the Prudential Committee’s agenda included consideration of the final recommendation regarding the baseball field at Maple Street Park; a review of legislative issues; and continuing work on a comprehensive communications plan.  Essex Junction PK-8 school principals also presented their school’s actions plans for the coming year, which were approved by the board.

The August 23^rd board meeting will be held in the library at the high school in conjunction with both the high school board and the Westford board.  The meeting is tentatively scheduled to begin at 6PM with a presentation on the requirements under Act 153, the voluntary school district consolidation statute.  Boards will also discuss mandated budget reductions for the upcoming budget cycle.  The Prudential Committee’s local agenda will begin at 8PM, also in the library and will include a board discussion of recreation and parks, local budget reductions and continuing work on our comprehensive communications plan.
