Good news from the SkillsUSA National Competition last week in Kansas City!
Center for Technology, Essex (CTE) Computer Animation and Web Design (CAWD) student TJ George (from Essex High School) placed second in the nation in the State Pin Design Competition. TJ’s pin will go into production to be used as the Vermont SkillsUSA Pin for the 2010-2011 school year.
CAWD students Chris Goodwin and Brandon Griggs (both Mount Mansfield Union High School students) took third place in the nation in web design, and each earned $10,000 for college.
The Dental Assisting program student Amber Wesson competed at the post-secondary level at the national Skills USA competition in Kansas City, Missouri this summer, placing 2nd in the nation,earning a silver medal.
