Scott Latterell, a junior at Mt. Mansfield Union High School (MMU) and a student at the Center for Technology, Essex (CTE) died unexpectedly in Richmond at age seventeen.  He was a student in the Residential Building Technology Program at CTE.

Vermont State Police is working to further investigate the incident.  To date, the investigation has revealed that the incident is isolated and there is no risk to the public.
